WELCOME

Welcome, to BSA | Benfica Soccer Academy.

We all have been young soccer players full of dreams and ambitions.
Dreaming is great, isn’t it!
It’s with dreams that we build our goals and our future. To get there, it takes hard work and dedication. It’s exactly to help your craving and determination that we’ve created Benfica Soccer Academy.
At this Academy the most important goal is for you to grow as a soccer player, taking part in soccer, learning, making friends and to have all the fun you can.

Benfica Academy was made to stimulate your creativity and discover and develop your talents.

BSA recognizes, respects, and celebrates personal uniqueness. We emphasize self-concept and self-esteem, and our programs are designed to instill self-discipline. Our ultimate goal is to unlock the maximum potential within each player and coach. We believe that the joy of participation and the satisfaction of learning foster success.
All players have dreams, and regardless of their level of play, they deserve our very best attention and effort to help them realize those dreams!

BSA was founded in 2007 and operates in an autonomous capacity as it is not controlled by any official organization or governing body. BSA maintains close relationships with key clubs and personnel across Europe and United States.

In the past 24 months BSA has held 2 European tours, clinics and camps during the school holidays, establishing the brand in US and generating much publicity in Europe.

BSA is a partner of Portuguese Club S.C.E.B., a club with a history in the Professional Portuguese Soccer since 1911. The partnership gives the opportunity to show our members the Portuguese culture of soccer.

BSA is also a partner of GISS (Genova International School of Soccer) from Italy.

            NEWS:

Starting this season 2010/11, Benfica Soccer Academy requires that all players registered to play soccer, obtain a sports physical.

BSA sponsor NextCare offers a pre-participation physical exam to all registered BSA players.  Obtaining a physical is an important part of safe sports participation.
The examination can help screen athletes for potential illness or conditions that may limit or restrict their soccer activity. It helps to make sure that kids who play soccer are physically capable of meeting the demands of a sport and lets the parents know if their children have any conditions that they may not be aware of, which could be aggravated by with intense exercise.

Rui Filipe says: “The goal of getting a sports physical is to help keep children safe and make parents feel confident that their children are safe and healthy to play sports.”
